Michelle Reitbauer

Michelle Reitbauer is a litigation paralegal at McLeod Brock with over a decade of experience working in various areas of law. Michelle graduated with high honors, Summa Cum Laude from Kaplan University, currently known as Purdue University Global with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies in 2009. She is a member of Alpha Beta Kappa and the Gold Key National Honor Society. Michelle brings to the legal field a variety of experience including, completion of master’s level courses in conflict resolution and reconciliation at Abilene Christian University. She brings over 7 years’ worth of front-line medical in field experience to our injured clients from her previous years of service as a certified advanced emergency medical technician and respiratory technician for New York City and its surrounding counties. Michelle also carries an associate degree in Respiratory Care from SUNY Westchester.

Michelle’s previous paralegal positions include but are not limited to, two well-respected firms, where she focused in various areas of law at State, Federal, Administrative and Appellate Court levels.

In 2007, Michelle started her legal career focusing on insurance defense as a legal assistant and then was quickly promoted to a full-time paralegal focusing on cases in medical malpractice, medical negligence, nursing home neglect, wrongful death, construction defects, product liability and premises/property liability matters.

In 2012, Michelle transitioned to a paralegal position supporting claimants against their employers and government entities where she obtained Florida Registered Paralegal status through the Florida Bar and was a paralegal member of the Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG). She provided paralegal support for sick and injured veterans against the U.S. Veterans Administration, employee claims in Florida workers compensation matters and multiple mass/class action claims in South Carolina and North Carolina in areas of Catastrophic Injury/Exposure, Asbestos/Mesothelioma litigation, Mass Torts and Toxic Tort Litigation and Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Claims.

In January 2018, Michelle joined the firm as a senior paralegal and works in the Boca Raton office. Michelle has experience in admiralty, maritime law and civil litigation and through her paralegal career, she has attended mediation, deposition, trial, and hearing proceedings at the State, Federal, Administrative and Appellate Court levels.
